Storage - Technis

All persistent data of consequence lives on nexus, a TrueNAS SCALE server with ZFS. The other hosts keep only their own service state on local disk.

media survives two simultaneous disk failures. data survives one.

Data Classes

RAID and snapshots aren’t backups. The 3-2-1 strategy and off-site TrueNAS are still in progress, so no restore time is promised yet.
