Accept the Plex Share

Follow the Plex link in your invitation to accept the library share.

Install a Plex App

Plex has apps for TVs, streaming sticks, phones, tablets, and browsers.

Pick a Library

Sign in with the same Plex account and choose a Technis library.

Watch in a Browser

watch.techn.is runs Watchtower, a browsing and playback interface for the Technis libraries. The shorter w.techn.is and wt.techn.is open the same page.
  1. Open watch.techn.is and sign in with the Plex account that accepted the share.
  2. Browse from Home, or open Watch for movies and series.
  3. Playback progress syncs with Plex, so you can resume in any Plex app.
Planned: casting from Watchtower to TVs and speakers. Use a Plex app on the TV until it is verified.

Request a Title

If something you want isn’t in the library, request it.
  • An administrator or trusted member reviews each request.
  • Approved titles are added in a standard quality by default.
  • Saving a title to a watchlist doesn’t request it. Submit a request explicitly.
Planned: request tracking and issue reporting from a single member page.

Playback Problems

  1. Check status.techn.is for an active incident.
  2. Restart the Plex app and try another title.
  3. If the problem continues, contact support with the title, device, and any error message.
